cori

i’m cori. a dreamer who believes in the work of holding stories, creating space, and nurturing ideas into life. my practice sits at the intersection of reading, memory, and Black cultural traditions, unfolding across writing, curatorial projects, and my bookstore, BLK + BRWN.

narrative

I move through the world with curiosity and care. I see archives not just as objects, but as living traces of what has been held and what we carry forward. I believe in imagination as a tool for freedom, and in creativity as a way to connect, remember, and dream collectively.

My work is made in many forms: letters on Substack, events at/through BLK + BRWN., experimental exhibition projects like the Living Museum, and collaborations with artists and thinkers. Each project is a way to explore how Black stories are kept, shared, and made to breathe in the present.

i dream in many forms:

  • imagination as practice_ allowing thought and curiosity to wander freely

  • memory as guide_ honoring histories, inherited and lived, as we navigate the present

  • space as care_ creating rooms for reflection, collaboration, and dialogue

  • stories in motion_ letters, books, projects, and gatherings that hold and release ideas

  • collaboration as ritual_ opening doors for others to dream, join, share, and co-create
